Creator of 'Jeopardy' Merv Griffin died yesterday.
"Oooooh, we'll be right back!"
As hairy teenagers growing up in northern England when the whole Manchester thing exploded, Tony Wilson was pretty much our collective father figure. They even used to have him on "Granada Tonight", the local news show, where he would talk about the latest music news with Bob "Happening" Greaves, a decidedly elderly and not happening news anchor. Ahh, those were the days. You don't get The Happy Mondays turning up on the local news these days, more's the pity.
